Have you ever jitterbugged with change? Maybe your change is closer to some Saturday Night fever disco action. I think my change has been like that frantic, sweaty scene from Flashdance where Jennifer Beale goes crazy to Maniac. Except in my case there is a lot more cellulite.

I wanted to share a blog post by a talented artist I very much admire: Lisa Congdon. She is a lesbian and the post is about her response to a comment she received on her Instagram feed concerning the anniversary of her marriage to her wife.

Cinco de Mayo is often mistaken as Mexican Independence Day. It’s actually a celebration of the Mexican army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. A most happy day to my Mexican-American peeps! A toast of tequila and cerveza to all!
